The Sugar Land Imperials are looking for a 1-2 strong 8U, 9U, and 11U players to complete the roster for the 2018 Spring season. The Imperials have training facilities and lighted fields for training/practice. The Imperials have hired experienced select baseball coaches with different levels of baseball playing experience. The Imperial coaches offer private lessons for improvement outside of practice. Practices are two days a week and alternating Saturdays. The team will be playing in at least 6 tournaments in and around the Houston area for the spring time. The goal of the program is for the boys to play fundamentally sound baseball while they grow as a team together so that when and if they decide to further their baseball playing (ie. high school/ college) that they can do so and be successful.

Coach M Rockett:
Michael Rockett was selected in the 13th round of the 2009 MLB Draft by the Detroit Tigers out of The University of Texas San Antonio. In college, Rockett earned Freshman All-American honors in 2006 as well as All-American honors in 2008. He helped lead his team to two Southland Conference championships in 2007 and 2008 while earning conference Player of the Year in 2008. In 2009 he was selected to the New York-Penn League All-Star team while playing for the Oneonta Tigers and was promoted to the Tigers AAA affiliate Toledo Mudhens at the end of the 2009 season. From 2010 to 2011 Rockett advanced from the Low A West Michigan Whitecaps to the High A Lakeland Flying Tigers. In the middle of the 2011 season Rockett was promoted to the AA Erie Seawolves. Rockett continued his 2012 campaign with the Seawolves before helping lead the Flying Tigers to the 2012 Florida State League Championship. In 2013 Rockett was released from the Tigers and continued his professional career with the Sugar Land Skeeters of the Atlantic League for 2 seasons. In 2015 and 2016 he remained in the Atlantic League with the Camden Riversharks and York Revolution. Earning team MVP honors with the Revolution in 2016. Rockett specializes as a utility player and has played outfield, third base, second base, shortstop, and pitcher at the professional level. He helps aid young players in understanding hard work, the mechanics of the game, and the right mental approach to succeed at a higher level.

Former Texas All-State first baseman at Kempner High School in Sugar Land, has been coaching youth baseball off and on for the last 6 years.
Former pitcher for the Kempner High School Baseball Team and Former college pitcher Coach Burkholder has been coaching select baseball players for different teams and organizations
